The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is the nation’s largest municipal water and power utility, with 8,081 megawatts (MW) of electric capacity and serving an average of more than 399 million gallons of water per day to Los Angeles’ approximately four million residents, businesses, and visitors. For more than 100 years, LADWP has provided the city with reliable water and power service in a cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner. With a workforce of nearly 12,000 employees, LADWP is guided by the five-member Board of Water and Power Commissioners, appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.

Burbank Water and Power (BWP) is a community-owned utility that provides reliable, affordable, and sustainable water and electric services to more than 50,000 residential and business customers in the City of Burbank. BWP has been operating for over 100 years, including nine years as an APPA RP3 Diamond level provider.

Roseville Electric Utility

Roseville Electric has been providing electrical power to the City of Roseville’s residents, businesses, and the city’s street lighting system since 1912. As a municipally owned utility, Roseville Electric’s primary purpose is to provide highly reliable, efficient, and affordable electricity to the businesses and residents of Roseville — more than 68,000 customer accounts.

San Diego County Water Authority

The San Diego County Water Authority sustains a $262 billion regional economy and the quality of life for 3.3 million residents through a multi-decade water supply diversification plan, major infrastructure investments and forward-thinking policies that promote fiscal and environmental responsibility. A public agency created in 1944, the Water Authority delivers wholesale water supplies to 22 retail water providers, including cities, special districts and a military base.

Turlock Irrigation District

Established in 1887, the Turlock Irrigation District (TID) was the first irrigation district in the state. Today it is one of only four in California that also provides electric retail energy directly to homes, farms, and businesses. TID delivers irrigation water through over 250 miles of a gravity-fed canal system that irrigates approximately 150,000 acres of farmland. TID owns and operates an integrated and diverse electric generation, transmission and distribution system that provides power to a population of 240,000 within a 662 square-mile area.

City of Industry

Industry Public Utilities operates a municipal electric system serving portions of business and residential properties within the city, while Industry Public Utilities Waterworks System is owned by the City of Industry and is managed by the La Puente Valley County Water District under an agreement that provides cost savings for both agencies — mainly through operational efficiencies.

San Bernardino Municipal Water District

The San Bernardino Municipal Water Department provides water, wastewater and sewer collection services to the City of San Bernardino and surrounding communities. The SBMWD water service area is approximately 45 square miles, providing water to a population of more than 200,000 people.

Anaheim Public Utilities is a city-owned, not-for-profit electric and water utility that offers quality electric and water services to residents and businesses in Anaheim at rates among the lowest in Orange County.

Balancing Authority of Northern California

The Balancing Authority of Northern California (BANC) is a joint powers authority consisting of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), Modesto Irrigation District (MID), Roseville Electric, Redding Electric Utility (REU), Trinity Public Utility District (TPUD) and the City of Shasta Lake as its founding members. BANC is the third-largest balancing authority in California.

For over 130 years, Colton Electric and Water has provided reliable electric, water, and wastewater utility services to the City of Colton. The utility delivers safe power and high-quality water to homes, businesses, and public facilities while supporting infrastructure, sustainability, and community needs.

Contra Costa Water District

The Contra Costa Water District delivers safe, clean water to communities across central and eastern Contra Costa County in Northern California. Formed in 1936 to provide water for irrigation and industry, CCWD is now one of the largest urban water districts in California and a leader in drinking-water treatment technology and source water protection.

Eastern Municipal Water District

Eastern Municipal Water District is the water, wastewater service and recycled water provider to nearly one million people living and working within a 558-square mile service area in western Riverside County. It is California’s sixth-largest retail water agency, and its mission is “To deliver value to our diverse customers and the communities we serve by providing safe, reliable, economical and environmentally sustainable water, wastewater and recycled water services.”

Irvine Ranch Water District

Established in 1961, Irvine Ranch Water District is an independent special district serving central Orange County. IRWD provides high-quality drinking water, reliable sewage collection and treatment, ground-breaking recycled water programs, and environmentally sound urban runoff treatment to its customers. As an independent, not-for-profit public agency, IRWD is governed by a publicly elected five-member Board of Directors.

Long Beach Utilities

Long Beach Utilities provides three primary utility services to nearly 500,000 residents and businesses, including: a) the unfailing delivery of high quality, delicious drinking water, b) the safe delivery of natural gas (including to Signal Hill), and c) reliable sewer services. The City has successfully provided these three utility services to its community 24/7 — via a vast network of approximately 5,000 miles of underground pipeline — for 100 years or more.

Metropolitan Water District of Southern California

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a state-established cooperative that, along with its 26 cities and retail suppliers, provides water for 19 million people in six counties. The district imports water from the Colorado River and Northern California to supplement local supplies, and helps its members to develop increased water conservation, recycling, storage and other resource-management programs.

Orange County Water District

The Orange County Water District manages the local groundwater basin that supplies water to 2.5 million people in north and central Orange County.  Since 1933, OCWD has advanced groundwater management, tripling the basin’s sustainable yield.

Placer County Water Agency

Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) is the premiere water resource agency for Placer County, California, with a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of drinking water and irrigation water, and production of hydroelectric energy.

Rancho California Water District

The mission of Rancho Water is to deliver reliable, high quality water, wastewater, and reclamation services to its customers and communities in a prudent and sustainable manner. Rancho Water is a local, independent Special District, organized on August 16, 1965, servicing approximately 150 square miles and more than 46,000 service connections in Temecula, Murrieta, and parts of unincorporated Riverside County.

Western Water

Western Water is one of the largest public agencies in Riverside County, providing water, wastewater (sewer), and recycled water services to nearly 1 million people, both wholesale and retail customers, across 527 square miles in western Riverside County. Our top priority is providing customers with an exceptional customer experience. We do this by pairing consistent delivery of safe, reliable drinking water and wastewater services with outstanding customer service.
